FAQ
Mobile Vehicle Inspections (FAQ)
A mobile vehicle inspection is a thorough assessment of a used vehicle by a qualified inspector, performed at your chosen location. This offers convenience, saves time, and eliminates the need to travel to a garage or dealership.
A mobile vehicle inspection gives you peace of mind by:
- Uncovering potential mechanical or structural problems you may not notice.
- Identifying signs of concealed accident damage or shoddy repairs.
- Providing leverage for negotiating a fair price.
- Helping you avoid costly surprises after purchase.
We conduct a thorough inspection that covers all key areas of the vehicle:
- Exterior: We assess the body condition, paintwork, rust, panel gaps, lights, and glass.
- Interior: We inspect the seats, upholstery, dashboard, and electronics to ensure everything functions properly and is free from excessive wear.
- Engine: We check fluid levels, look for leaks, inspect belts and hoses, and listen for unusual noises. Our inspection includes a scan for engine and ECU issues.
- Undercarriage: We examine the suspension, exhaust, and frame for signs of damage or wear.
- Tires & Brakes: We check tire tread depth, brake pad wear, and identify any uneven wear patterns.
- Safety Features: We test seatbelt operation, scan airbag modules, and review live data to ensure all safety systems are in working order.
- Electrical & Computer Systems: A complete scan covers sensors, wiring, and electronic modules.
- Odometer Verification: We verify the accuracy of the odometer reading to ensure there are no rollback issues.
- History Check: We confirm the vehicle’s write-off status and check for any outstanding finance.

Most inspections typically take around 1.5 hours, with some taking longer depending on the complexity of the vehicle or if multiple vehicles are being inspected. While the time may vary, we ensure that every inspection is thorough, and it’s never completed in less than an hour to maintain the quality and attention to detail.
You are more than welcome to be present during the entire inspection if you’d like to ask questions or observe the process. However, if your schedule doesn’t allow it, you can simply provide access to the vehicle, and our inspector will take care of everything. After the inspection, you’ll receive a detailed report along with 100-200 photos and videos of the vehicle. This way, you won’t miss any important details, and you can review the findings at your convenience without needing to be there in person.
Our detailed report will highlight any major concerns or potential problems. This empowers you to:
- Renegotiate the price based on necessary repairs
- Walk away from the purchase if the issues are too severe
- Plan for future maintenance and budgeting
Our skilled inspectors meticulously examine the vehicle for tell-tale signs of previous accidents, such as mismatched paint, uneven panel gaps, overspray and evidence of frame repair. We also conduct detailed paint inspections, looking for issues like paint nibs, runs, sanding scratches and panel replacements. Additionally, we measure paint thickness to identify any inconsistencies, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of the vehicle’s condition.
